Clubs

As with bars in Toulouse, finding a club to continue the party can be more difficult than in other European cities, particularly if you don’t know the city. However there are many clubs in Toulouse centre and also outside the city. A good tip for all clubs in Toulouse is that if you are with a group of people buy a bottle when you arrive as this will work out cheaper than buying single drinks. Also although many clubs will charge an entry fee (typically 8€ to 12€ this includes a complementary drink).
The following are a selection of easy to-get-to clubs in Toulouse:

Bodega Bodega - 1 Rue Gabriel Peri - 08 26 10 13 11.
This bar is a tapas restaurant by day and a bar/club by night. The music is a mix of Spanish and French club. The atmosphere here is great at the weekends with the busiest night being Saturday. (Open Sunday to Friday 19.00 to 02.00, Saturday 19.00 to 06.00)

Le Frigo - 2 rue des Trois-Journées - 05 61 21 75 25 - close to the centre of town. This club is right in the centre of the city, just off of Place Wilson and is opened later than other clubs in the city often until the dawn. A good club and comparatively easy to get into. Be prepared to dress up. (Wednesday to Saturday 23.00 to 06.00)

Shanghai Express Club- 12 Rue de la Pomme, 05 61 23 37 80, close to Place St. Georges. Shanghai is Toulouse’s largest and most popular gay nightclub. Located just off of Place St. George this is a favourite after hours spot. Loud music, lots of dancing and a terrace in the back for smoking make this a great place to finish the evening. (Open Wednesday to Sunday 00.00 to 07.00)

La Villa Garden- 157 avenue de Lespinet, 05 62 17 38 80, 10 minutes from the city centre. This is a large, lively dance club that stays open until the early hours of Saturday and Sunday morning and also runs until dawn. The club has several indoor and outdoor rooms where all music tastes are accommodated. However French techno and electric is always on the menu. A club that prides itself on displaying the French touch. (Open Thursday to Saturday 23.00 to 05.00)
